There are thousands of thoughts that we have daily, and man of them are initiated by God. This blog is my way to document some that come my way. If at any time when you read this blog, it causes you to stop and enjoy a bit of the wonder tucked carefully into ordinary things, then I will have accomplished my goal for writing it. Glory to Him, who is the Wonder of all wonders!

Every morning I repeat the same prayer.  'Lord, I want to love You with all of my heart.'  The first commandment is to love God.  If I get that one right, everything else will carefully move into place.  It is not a noble conviction I have, but a strong desire that comes from a deeper place than I knew existed on the inside of me.  That prayer perfectly expresses the desire of my heart.  'Lord, I really do want to love you with all of my heart...'

This is not really a regular blog entry, but a poem I wrote.  It was written soon after one of my sweet grandmothers went to be with the Lord.  From both sides of my family, I have received a godly inheritance.  With all of my heart, I want to build on the foundation of faith that they laid before me.  If the language seems a bit unfamiliar, I was attempting to express my heart in the style of Christian mystics from centuries ago.  I love the eloquent way they expressed their desire to the Lord.  What these words lack in eloquence, they make up for in passionate love.

This dream impacted me on what seemed to be a cellular level.  Every since I had this dream, I have believed it is possible to experience the Glory of God when I am awake.  I know the Glory of God is tangible, and can be seen and felt.  I share the prayer of Moses (Exodus 33:18) when he said to God, "Show me Your Glory".  And as for me, I am still waiting on the cloud...
