“We understand the problem was this man over-reacted by killing fellow soldiers because of stress created by his imminent deployment into the theatre of war.”
Whatever it is, it isn’t terrorism.

“We do this everyday. Trust us. We are all about what is best for women. We can easily remove this mass of tissue, and you can resume your normal life.”
Whatever it is, it isn’t a baby.

“We are just proposing a lifting of a tax ban and simply reversing a mistake our predecessor made. You won’t be paying more, you will just be saving less.”
Whatever it is, it isn’t a tax increase.

“We are diligently laboring to rush this health care reform package through without disclosing all the pesky details that the common man doesn’t want to be bothered with.
Whatever it is, it isn’t the end of the rights of an individual for reasonable health care.

From now on, know this: you have a choice whenever you hear this familiar phrase,
“Whatever it is, it isn’t (fill in the blank)”.
You can carefully consider the possibility that the exact opposite is actually the truth:
Or, you can just say to yourself…
Whatever it is, it isn’t a lie.
