About Me…

It seems to me that I have loved words my entire life. Actually, the source of some of that affection was probably generational, as my Dad loved words, as did his Dad before him.

Many years ago, a man who didn’t know me spoke something to me that changed the way I view any words that I feel like I have been given. He basically said that God had given me a gift and sometimes I could potentially have anointed words resident inside me just waiting to get out. I believe that is true, and as a gift, if there is anything I have written that comes anywhere close to being inspired, the credit belongs to Him. I cannot claim credit for something that has been given to me. When that happens, to God be the glory!

Of course, I don’t claim that all the words I write are inspired, but I can usually tell if any part of it is not coming from my thoughts, because I will think- “Wow, I never thought of that!” The way the gift works with me is I am given the first couple of words, and if I will stop and write them down (or type them), I will get more words. I have learned that words have power, and I try to remember that when I write.

And then, there is the fact that sometimes my perspective, and the way I view things is kind of wacky and outside-the-box. When that happens, it is nearly always me!

I hope everyone that comes to this site will know what it is like to experience the wonder of God. I have included many images in the gallery that I captured in my time as a photographer. As you will see, my very favorite perspective for the subject of an image is way up close! The closer we look at all that God has created, the more wonder we see! I have been known to get all up in a flower when I am trying to capture the wonder, and have chased down more than a few birds!
